Last night I played in a home tournament and noticed one of the golden poker rules being broken, PATIENCE!  Poker is not a fast game, if you are looking for a quick score, then this game is most likely not for you.  You play Texas Holdem to try and rake in 1 big pot an hour.  When you feel like your cards are just not coming, step back and remember the PATIENCE RULE!

Holding Your Breath at The Poker Table

I know this is pretty common knowledge, but I think people forget about this easy poker tell.  If you spot someone holding their breath at the poker table, most likely they are holding a weak hand.  They are trying to keep everything in and not get distracted and forget to breath.  Keep an eye on the poker players holding their breath, watch their cards, and you will definitely be able to spot this tell when they do it. 

Double Hitting Cheques

So I was at the table yesterday during the day and 2 of the people at my table had this tell.  They have a stack of chips and rub their hands down it and then do the infamous slap against the table.   This is a pretty obvious tell that they are weak.  This tell usually happens after a flop bet has been established, so if your opponent is doing this I would precive as weak!
